ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A goal by Jonathan Cheechoo Monday gave San Jose the edge in a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Wild.

Steve Bernier and Kyle McLaren also scored for San Jose, which has gone 12


1 in its last 13 road games.

Evgeni Nabokov stopped 19 of 21 shots in the win.

The Sharks' lost three home games before its current four-game winning streak on the road.

Dominic Moore and Mark Parrish scored for the Wild, who had won two in a row. Niklas Backstrom allowed three goals on 25 shots.
