NHL: Calgary 3, Edmonton 1

EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Matthew Lombardi had a goal and an assist Saturday night to help the Calgary Flames skate past the Edmonton Oilers, 3-1.

Lombardi's sixth goal of the season gave Calgary a 1-0 lead at 12:51 of the second period. He assisted on Owen Nolan's goal earlier in the period.

Craig Conroy scored the other goal, while Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 15-of-16 shots for the Flames, who have won two in a row.

Edmonton's lone goal was scored by Andrew Cogliano at 12:33 of the third.

Goalie Mathieu Garon was beaten three times on 27 shots for the Oilers, who have split their last four games.

On the power play, Calgary went 0-for-4, and Edmonton was 0-for-3.

Calgary has won six of the last eight meetings between the teams, while Edmonton is 1-6-0 in its last seven home games.
