NHL: Vancouver 2, Colorado 1 (OT)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Henrik Sedin scored 1:22 into overtime Friday night to give the Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 decision over Colorado.

Vancouver won its third straight, but it was only the second home win for the Canucks in eight tries this season. This was the first of four straight home contests.

Sedin scored both Vancouver goals, with his first putting the Canucks in front 4:41 into the second period.

John-Michael Liles tied it 61 seconds into the start of the third period.

Roberto Luongo made 24 saves for the Canucks and Jose Theodore had 25 for the Avalanche.

Colorado had won six of its previous seven games. The Avalanche has an 8-1 home record this year, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Vancouver.

Joe Sakic, who had his eight-game points streak halted in Colorado's last outing, had an assist on Liles' goal.
