LUXEMBOURG, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Tatiana Golovin kept her hopes alive for a second straight title Wednesday by reaching the quarterfinals of the Fortis Championships.
Golovin won last week in Slovenia and advanced Wednesday with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Sorana Cirstea.

Second-seeded Ana Ivanovic ousted Anne Kremer 7-5, 6-4, but the third seed, Nadia Petrova, fell to Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 6-1.
Top-seeded Anna Chakvetadze received a first-round bye and will play her first match Thursday against Meilen Tu.
