MLB: LA Angels 2, Chi. White Sox 1

CHICAGO, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Jered Weaver allowed four hits in six innings and Reggie Willits drove in the key run Saturday as the LA Angels beat the Chicago White Sox, 2-1.

Weaver (12-7) had eight strikeouts and one walk to win for the fourth time in his last five starts. Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his 35th save.

Vladimir Guerrero drove in the other run for the Angels.

White Sox starter Jon Garland (9-12) allowed nine hits and two runs over seven innings.

Jerry Owens was 3-for-4 and drove in the only run for the White Sox, who lost for the fourth time in their last six games.
