MLB: Cincinnati 11, Milwaukee 4

CINCINNATI, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Ken Griffey Jr. hit the 593rd homer his MLB career Friday night and finished with three RBI, to help the Cincinnati Reds clobber Milwaukee, 11-4.

Griffey's 30th homer of the season came in the bottom of the second, after he had hit an RBI single in the first.

Cincinnati scored six in the first, and led 10-0, before Milwaukee scored two in the fifth on Prince Fielder’s solo homer and Craig Counsell’s single. Cincinnati’s Joey Votto and Edwin Encarnacion had two RBI each.

Josh Hamilton hit a solo homer, and both he and Alex Gonzalez had three hits, as the Reds won their second in a row.

Winner Bronson Arroyo (8-14) gave up two earned runs and five hits in 7 2/3 innings with a walk and eight strikeouts.

Mike Rivera hit a solo homer in the eighth, while Joe Dillon's RBI single in the ninth was the seventh hit for the Brewers, who had won two straight.

The loser was Dave Bush (11-10).
