NFL: Cleveland 16, Kansas City 12

CLEVELAND , Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Chris Barclay's TD on an 88-yard kickoff return with 1:51 left to play Saturday helped the Cleveland Browns beat Kansas City, 16-12, in preseason play.

The Chiefs had taken a12-9 lead with 1:51 remaining when Justin Medlock nailed a 42-yard field goal.

Charlie Frye completed 12-of-15 passes for 122 yards for the Browns. Derek Anderson, who is competing with Frye for the starting job, went 7-fpr-16 passes for 76 yards.

The Browns first-round pick, quarterback Brady Quinn, did not play Saturday.

Running back Jamal Lewis rushed for 20 yards on four carries.

Brodie Croyle started at quarterback for the Chiefs, completing 5-of-8 passes for 49 yards with one interception and one fumble. Veteran Damon Huard went just 2-of-4 for 19 yards and one interception.
