CINCINNATI, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Bronson Arroyo combined with three other pitchers in an eight-hit shutout Tuesday as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0.
Arroyo, working 6 2/3 innings, gave up six hits and five strikeouts for the Reds, who have won three straight.

Edwin Encarnacion went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs, while Brandon Phillips hit a home run and scored twice for Cincinnati.
Juan Pierre went 3-for-4, and Mark Hendrickson allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings for the Dodgers, who have lost five straight and eight of their last nine games.
