SAN DIEGO, July 21 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell drove in the go-ahead run during a three-run fourth Friday night and Chase Utley hit a two-run homer as Philadelphia downed San Diego, 7-3.

Adam Eaton (9-6) survived 5 2/3 innings to get the win, giving up two runs on seven hits. He bounced back from last Sunday's difficult outing against St. Louis, during which he was roughed up for 10 hits and six runs in four innings.

Utley walked to open the Philadelphia fourth, moved to second on a single by Ryan Howard and then scored the tying run on Aaron Rowand's double.

Howard put the Phillies in front by scoring on Burrell's ground out and Eaton singled in the third run of the inning. Utley added his home run in the seventh.

The loss went to Justin Germano, who was picked up by the Padres when the Phillies cut him in spring training. Germano (6-4), gave up six hits and four runs over 5 1/3 innings.
