CLEVELAND, June 15 (UPI) -- Yunel Escobar doubled in two runs off C.C. Sabathia in the ninth inning Friday night, rallying the Atlanta Braves to a 5-4 victory over Cleveland.

Casey Blake put Cleveland in front with a solo homer in the eighth, extending his hitting streak to 24 games.

Sabathia (9-2), who had given up 10 hits through eight innings, stayed on in the ninth to protect the one-run lead, but gave up a double to Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Brian McCann then reached on shortstop Jhonny Peralta's fielding error with Saltalamacchia staying at second.

After Chris Woodward sacrificed the runners along, Escobar drove one into the left-center gap to put the Braves ahead.

Despite giving up Blake's homer in the eighth, Rafael Soriano (2-0) got the win.

Bob Wickman put two runners on in the bottom of the ninth, but struck out three batters to pick up his 12th save.
