McNabb back at Eagles practice

PHILADELPHIA, June 11 (UPI) -- Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb Monday took part in his first practice with the Eagles since he had knee surgery last November.

McNabb took several snaps and participated in team drills. He also tried some passes to test his right leg.

"If felt great to get back out there on the field with all the guys," McNabb said. "It's just part of the rehab proves and hopefully good things will continue to come."

McNabb had surgery late last year to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He injured the knee during a 31-13 loss to Tennessee. He has been throwing on the side and doing individual movement drills, but Monday marked the first time he participated in team exercises.

"He's where we hoped he would be. He worked very hard to get to this spot, so we let him test it out today, said Eagles Coach Andy Reid.

In eight NFL seasons, McNabb has played in 104 games and thrown for 22,080 yards, 152 touchdowns and 72 interceptions.
