DOVER, Del., June 3 (UPI) -- Heavy rains spurred by tropical depression Barry Sunday forced a cancellation of the Nextel Cup's Autism Speaks 400 at Dover, Del.
The race was re-scheduled for Monday.
When the green flag drops to start the race, Ryan Newman will be the pole-sitter. He won the pole Saturday for the third time this season, and 40th time in his Nextel Cup career.
In 201 races, Newman's total of 40 pole wins ties Buddy Baker (701 races) for 12th all-time. He can crack the top-10 all-time with three more pole wins.
Starting alongside Newman will be Dale Earnhardt Jr., with Bobby Labonte (23.637) and Kasey Kahne (23.678) making up Row 2.
For the first time since the Daytona 500 in February, Michael Waltrip has qualified for a race. His No. 55 NAPA Toyota qualified 23rd.
