Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
CHICAGO, May 25 (UPI) -- Joe Crede's one-out sacrifice fly in the ninth scored Tadahito Iguchi Friday night, giving the Chicago White Sox a 5-4 decision over Tampa Bay.
Crede had two hits and scored once as the White Sox won for the fourth time in five games. Luis Terrero contributed a three-run homer.
Chicago has won in its final at-bat eight times this season.
Elijah Dukes -- in his first appearance since reports surfaced earlier this week that he threatened the life of his wife and children -- had a three-run homer for Tampa Bay. The Devil Rays have dropped six of seven.
Chad Orvella (0-2) started the ninth, his second inning of work, and he walked both Iguchi and Jim Thome.
Brian Stokes then came on and struck out Jermaine Dye, but gave up a single to A.J. Pierzynski that loaded the bases. The first pitch to Crede was lifted to the warning track in left.
Bobby Jenks (2-1), who worked a 1-2-3 ninth, got the win.
