Stricker breaks into golf's top 20

PHILADELPHIA, May 7 (UPI) -- Fresh off his second-place finish at the Wachovia Championship, Steve Stricker jumped 24 places Monday to No. 18 in this week's World Golf Ranking.

Stricker is the PGA Tour's Comeback Player of the Year.

Wachovia winner Tiger Woods remained No. 1 among the top golfers, extending his lead over No. 2 Jim Furyk, Phil Michelson, Adam Scott and Ernie Els, who round out the top five.

Henrik Stenson was ranked sixth, Vijay Singh No. 7 and Geoff Ogilvy eighth. Retief Goosen and Luke Donald complete the official Top 10.
