NBA: Miami 88, Boston 85

BOSTON, April 7 (UPI) -- Shaquille O'Neal led Miami Friday night with 22 points and 11 rebounds in the Heat's 88-85 victory at Boston.

Miami had a 52-45 halftime lead despite a 7-0 spurt that gave Boston a 42-38 with 3:50 remaining in the first half.

Later, a 20-6 Boston run led to a 70-70 tie entering the fourth quarter.

Udonis Haslem had 17 points with nine rebounds; James Posey had 13 points and seven rebounds; while Jason Williams added eight points and 13 assists for the Southeast Division-leading Heat, who moved 2 1/2 games ahead of Washington, which lost, 99-94, to Cleveland.

Ryan Gomes led Boston with 24 points and five rebounds.

Gerald Green had 21 points, four rebounds, and two assists; Allan Ray had 13 points and three assists; Rajon Rondo scored 11 points; and Kevinn Pinkney had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who have dropped three of their last four games.
