NBA: Charlotte 108, Washington 100

WASHINGTON, April 4 (UPI) -- Gerald Wallace scored a game-high 27 points Wednesday night to lead Charlotte over Washington, 108-100.

Washington had a two-point lead after the first quarter when star guard Gilbert Arenas left the contest with a sprained knee and did not return.

Charlotte had a 46-45 halftime lead, trailed, 79-75, after three quarters, then out-scored Washington, 33-21, in the final stanza to beat the Wizards for the second straight night.

Walter Hermann had 20 points and nine rebounds; Raymond Felton had 19 points and seven assists; while Emeka Okafor added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Bobcats, who have won three of their last four games.

Antawn Jamison led Washington with 25 points.

Etan Thomas had 19 points and 10 rebounds; Antonio Daniels had 18 points and 17 assists; DeShawn Stevenson had 14 points and five assists; while Jarvis Hayes added 13 points and three rebounds for the Wizards, who have lost two of their last three games.
