NHL: Boston 3, Ottawa 2

OTTAWA, March 27 (UPI) -- Patrice Bergeron had a goal and an assist Tuesday as the Boston Bruins posted a 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Petr Kalus scored his first career NHL goal, and Zdeno Chara also scored for Boston, which ended a five-game losing streak. Joey MacDonald had 32 saves for the Bruins.

The Bruins won for just the fifth time in their last 16 games and are well out of playoff contention. With 76 points , they are in last place in the Northeast Division.

Dany Heatley and Mike Fisher scored for the Senators, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. They failed to record a point for the first time in 12 games (7-1-4). Ray Emery allowed all three Boston goals on just 17 shots.
