NHL: Calgary 3, Nashville 2 (OT)

CALGARY, Alberta, March 23 (UPI) -- Rhett Warrener's goal in overtime Thursday night lifted the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 win over the tough Nashville Predators.

Warrener tipped the puck past Chris Mason off a feed from Alex Tanguay at 1:27 of OT to remain in the hunt for the last playoff sport in the Western Conference.

"It's a good feeling, especially with being down late against a team we haven't played well against," said Warrener. "To get a team to get a clutch win before we go on the road is good for everyone."

Tanguay and Craig Conroy scored for the Flames in regulation. Jason Arnott and Vernon Fiddler scored for Nashville while Peter Forsberg assisted on both goals.
