NHL: Detroit 4, Nashville 2

DETROIT, March 15 (UPI) -- Jiri Hudler scored twice Wednesday night as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Nashville Predators, 4-2.

It was the first time Hudler scored two goals in a game.

Nashville had taken a 1-0 lead after the first period on a goal by Alexander Radulov.

Nicklas Lidstrom drew Detroit even 76 second into the second period, while Jason Arnott and Hudler split goals later in the second to make the score 2-2 entering the third period.

Hudler and Kirk Maltby scored in the third period; while Dominik Hasek stopped 27 of 29 shots for the Red Wings, who made it two in a row against Nashville after winning the opener of a home-and-home set, 5-2, in Nashville on Tuesday night.

Chris Mason made 31 saves on 34 shots for the Predators, who have lost four of six overall and have surrendered the league's best record to Detroit by one point in the Central Division.
