Youzhny moves to Rotterdam semifinals

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Unseeded Mikhail Youzhny was a straight-set winner Friday and earned a semifinal berth in the $1 million ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in The Netherlands.

Youzhny posted a solid 6-4, 6-2, victory over sixth-seeded David Ferrer and next goes against Novak Djokovic in Saturday's tournament semifinals.

Djokovic got his semifinal slot with a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, upset of second-seeded Tommy Robredo.

The other semifinal pits top-seeded Nikolay Davydenko against third-seeded Ivan Ljubicic -- two players ranked in the top eight in the world. Davydenko rallied for a 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 6-4, quarterfinal victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber, while Ljubicic on Friday defeated Florida Mayer, 6-4, 6-2.

The winners of Saturday's semifinal matches play Sunday for the tournament title and a first-prize of $193,000.
