DENVER, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Calgary Flames, 4-3, Tuesday.
Peter Budaj made 33 saves while Paul Stastny scored two power-play goals for Colorado during the first period.

Milan Hejduk notched a goal and an assist while Marek Svatos' goal early in the third period provided the winning margin.
Colorado now is 4-4 for its last eight games.
Tony Amonte, Dion Phaneuf and Kristin Huselius scored for Calgary. Miikka Kiprusoff allowed four goals on 32 shots for the Flames.
