NHL: Dallas 5, San Jose 2

DALLAS, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Mike Ribiero and Jere Lehtinen both scored twice Sunday afternoon to help the Dallas Stars skate past the San Jose Sharks, 5-2.

Ribiero's first goal came at 15:05 of the second period to raise the Stars' lead to 2-0, and the second was early in the third, giving them an insurmountable 4-1 advantage.

Lehtinen also scored in the second period, and added an empty-netter to cap the scoring at 18:25 of the third.

Stu Barnes scored the game's first goal; and Marty Turco gave up two goals on 19 San Jose shots for the Stars, who have won four of their last five games.

Mark Bell and Mike Grier both scored once; while Evgeni Nabokov was beaten four times on 20 shots for the Sharks, who had been shutout by Columbus and Nashville in their previous two outings.

Both teams went 1-for-3 on the power play.
