NHL: San Jose 3, Los Angeles 1

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Joe Pavelski scored twice as the San Jose Sharks downed the Los Angeles Kings, 3-2, Tuesday.

Steve Bernier also scored for the Sharks, who have won three straight and eight of their last 10 games overall. Evgeni Nabokov made 36 saves.

Lubomir Visnovsky scored the only goal for the Kings, who fell to 2-3 in December. Dan Cloutier allowed three goals on 31 shots in the loss.
