Nude photos of 'wife' draw Woods's ire

STRAFFAN, Ireland, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- An Irish magazine has apologized to Tiger Woods, in Straffan, Ireland, for the Ryder Cup, for publishing nude photos wrongly identified as his wife.

The September edition of Dubliner magazine also linked photos of Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, to Internet porn sites, the Los Angeles Times said Thursday.

During a news conference before the match, Woods said his wife, a former model, had posed in swimsuit attire, "but to link her to porn Web sites ... is unacceptable, and I do not accept that at all," the Times said.

The article, "Ryder Cup Filth for Ireland," also included derogatory comments about the wives of Ryder Cup teammates Chad Campbell, David Toms and Jim Furyk.

The magazine apologized to Woods and the other Ryder Cup players, saying what it published was inappropriate satire. Woods' agent said the professional golfer was considering whether to file a lawsuit over the incident, the newspaper said.
