MLB: Minnesota 6, Cleveland 1

CLEVELAND, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Phil Nevin and Torii Hunter each had two RBI Sunday to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 6-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Jason Tyner was 3-of-3 with one RBI and a run scored for the Twins, who have won three of their last four games.

Scott Baker (5-8) earned the win, allowing a run on six hits while walking two and striking out three in six innings. Matt Guerrier finished up with three scoreless innings to earn his first major league save.

Minnesota trails Detroit by a game for first place in the AL Central, as the Tigers lost 12-8 to Baltimore in 10 innings. The Twins lead the wild-card standings by 4 games over Chicago, which lost 5-4 to Oakland Sunday.

Casey Blake knocked in a run and Hector Luna finished 3-for-4 for the Indians. Paul Byrd (9-8) was the loser, yielding five runs on eight hits and four walks.
