SOPOT, Poland, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Nikolay Davydenko of Russia Saturday won his semifinal match at the Orange Prokom Tennis Tournament in Sopot, Poland.

Davydenko, who has lost in two other finals this season, beat No. 7 Filippo Volandri of Italy, 6-2, 6-4.

In Sunday's title match, he will face last year's runner-up, Florian Mayer of Germany, who was a 6-2, 4-3 winner over eight-seeded Augustin Calleri of Argentina.

Calleri, who had an eight-match winning streak broken, retired because of a groin injury in the second set.

Davydenko, who won the first set in less than 30 minutes, will be playing for his seventh career title.

Mayer, who has been a quarterfinalist four times in 2006, lost to France's Gael Monfils in the 2005 final.

"I really enjoy the conditions here," Mayer said. "I like to play at sea level where the balls don't fly so much. I think it will be a good match tomorrow."
