MLB: LA Angels 9, Tampa Bay 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., July 16 (UPI) -- Vladimir Guerrero had a grand slam and five RBI, as the LA Angels of Anaheim beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 9-2, Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif.

Mike Napoli hit a two-run homer and Orlando Cabrera drove in a run for the Angels, who have won five straight and 10 of their last 11 games.

Ervin Santana (11-3) won his seventh game in eight starts, giving up two runs on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts over seven innings.

Guerrero knocked in the 1000th RBI of his career in the first inning and then hit his fourth career grand slam in the seventh.

Garret Anderson had two hits and scored twice for the Angels.

Carl Crawford and Rocco Baldelli drove in the runs for the Devil Rays, who have lost two straight and five of their last six games.

Tampa Bay starter Jamie Shields (4-3) gave up six runs on nine hits with three walks over six-plus innings, as he lost his third straight decision.
