CINCINNATI, July 15 (UPI) -- Chris Denorfia celebrated his 26th birthday with a game-winning bloop single Saturday night to lift the Cincinnati Reds over the Colorado Rockies, 3-2.

Reds starter Bronson Arroyo scattered eight hits over seven innings before giving way to Kent Mercker. Colorado took a 2-1 lead in the eighth, but Reds reliever Bill Bray retired the side in the ninth to improve his record to 2-1, as the Reds won their third straight game.
