NBA: Dallas 123, San Antonio 118 (OT)

DALLAS, May 16 (UPI) -- Jason Terry scored 32 points, including a key jump shot late in overtime, in the Dallas Mavericks' 123-118 NBA playoff victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The victory Monday gave the Mavericks a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal with the Spurs, the defending NBA champions. Game Five in the series is scheduled for Wednesday in San Antonio.

The Mavericks scored the first 4 points of overtime but San Antonio was still within 1 point when Terry hit a jumper with 1:42 to play that put Dallas ahead 119-116. After San Antonio missed on the other end, Devin Harris scored on a lay up 34 seconds later for a 121-116 Dallas lead. A Terry jump shot with 38 seconds left kept the Spurs at length.

Terry's 32-point effort was backed by 28 points from Dirk Nowitzki while Jerry Stackhouse finished with 26 points.

Tony Parker paced the Spurs with 33 points and Tim Duncan chipped in 31 points and 13 rebounds.
