MLB: Washington 10, Philadelphia 3

PHILADELPHIA, April 18 (UPI) -- Ryan Church hit his first-ever grand slam in the ninth inning Tuesday as the Washington Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 10-3.

Daryle Ward also homered for the Nationals, who won their third straight. Ryan Zimmerman finished 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Washington righthander Tony Armas (1-2) allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings.

Pat Burrell hit a two-run home run for the Phillies, who have lost two of three. Aaron Rowand and Mike Lieberthal both were 2-for-4. Righthander Cory Lidle (1-2) gave up four runs on nine hits in seven innings.
