MLB: LA Angels 9, Baltimore 3

BALTIMORE, April 16 (UPI) -- Vladimir Guerrero hit two home runs Sunday to power the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim over Baltimore, 9-3.

Chone Figgins added a three-run homer and Maicer Izturis scored three times for the Angels (6-6), who broke a three-game losing streak.

The Angels may have lost closer Francisco Rodriguez, who landed awkwardly after a delivery in the ninth and was pulled from the contest. Designated hitter Tim Salmon was also injured, leaving in the fourth with a hip flexor strain.

Angels starter John Lackey (2-1) surrendered two runs and six hits in eight innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

Miguel Tejada was 3-for-4 with a run scored while Jeff Conine, Javy Lopez and Jay Gibbons drove in runs for the Orioles (7-6), who had a three-game winning streak broken.

Loser Kris Benson (1-2) gave up four runs and nine hits over five innings with one walk and one strikeout.
