NBA: Phoenix 117, Dallas 104

PHOENIX, April 14 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion and Tim Thomas combined for 51 points Thursday night as Phoenix rolled over Dallas, 117-104.

Marion had 29 points, five rebounds and three steals while Thomas had 22 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Raja Bell totaled 21 points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals; Boris Diaw added 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocked shits; and Steve Nash had 13 assists for the Suns (52-26). Phoenix has won three of its last four games.

Dirk Nowitzki had 36 points and 11 rebounds; Josh Howard had 18 points and five rebounds; while Jason Terry totaled 18 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Mavericks (59-21).

With its second loss in a row, Dallas failed to gain ground on Western Conference front-runner San Antonio, which was beaten by Orlando, 92-80. The Mavericks remained 2½ games behind the Spurs.
