NHL: Colorado 6, Phoenix 4

DENVER, April 11 (UPI) -- Brett Clark had a goal and two assists Tuesday as the Colorado Avalanche posted a 6-4 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Alex Tanguay and Andrew Brunette each had a goal and an assist for Colorado, which needs two more points to clinch a playoff spot. Six different players scored for Colorado, which moved one point ahead of idle San Jose for the sixth spot in the Western Conference.

Derek Morris had a goal and an assist for Phoenix, which has dropped five straight.
