ATLANTA, March 6 (UPI) -- Slava Kozlov scored the lone goal in the shootout Monday to give the Atlanta Thrashers a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers.
After Kari Lehtonen turned aside all three shooters from Florida, Kozlov went right at Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo and fired a quick wrist shot from the slot that sailed over the netminder's shoulder.
Marian Hossa had a goal and an assist and Garnet Exelby was credited with assists on three goals for the Thrashers, who have won five of their last six games. Lehtonen stopped 37 shots.
Olli Jokinen scored two goals, his seventh game with at least two goals this season, and Martin Gelinas added a goal and two assists for the Panthers, who lost their third straight. Luongo made 31 saves.
