NHL: San Jose 4, Los Angeles 1

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau recorded two goals and an assist as the San Jose Sharks defeated the visiting Los Angeles Kings, 4-1, Tuesday night.

Nils Ekman and Milan Michalek also scored for San Jose, which has won eight of its last 10 games, while goaltender Evgeni Nabokov stopped all but one of the 16 shots he faced.

Joe Corvo tallied the goal for the Kings, who have dropped four of their last five road games. Jason LaBarbera allowed three goals on 29 shots in the losing effort.
