NHL: Boston 4, Anaheim 3 (OT)

BOSTON, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Patrice Bergeron scored 1:55 into overtime and earlier had two assists Monday as the Boston Bruins defeated the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, 4-3.

Marco Sturm had two goals and an assist for the Bruins, who failed to hold a two-goal lead twice before snapping a three-game losing streak. Tim Thomas, in just his second start of the season, made 25 saves in the win.

Chris Kunitz and Ryan Getzlaf both scored third period goals for the Ducks, who rallied to tie the game and force an overtime session before losing for the fourth time in their last five games.

Andy McDonald finished with three assists and Ilya Bryzgalov allowed four goals on 24 shots faced in the loss.
