NHL: Atlanta 2, St. Louis 0

ATLANTA, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Kari Lehtonen made 37 saves to post his first shutout of the season Friday night as Atlanta topped the St. Louis Blues, 2-0.

Patrik Stefan and Ilya Kovalchuk each scored once and Slava Kozlov, Ramzi Abid, Jaroslav Modry and Greg de Vries had assists for the Thrashers (22-18-6), who have built a four-game winning streak.

As a consolation, goaltender Curtis Sanford made 22 saves for the Blues (10-27-5), who have lost five straight games.

St. Louis didn't scratch despite out-shooting the Flames, 37-24. The Blues went 0-for-6 on the power play while the Flames were 1-for-8.
