NHL: Buffalo 3, Boston 2

BOSTON, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Henrik Tallinder scored his first goal of the season to break a tie game with 4:21 left Saturday and give the Buffalo Sabres a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins.

Thomas Vanek had two assists and Ales Kotalik and Daniel Briere each scored to help the Sabres pick up their third straight victory.

Mika Noronen made 20 saves in his first start of the season.

Joe Thornton and P.J. Axelsson each scored goals for Boston in the loss, the Bruins' fifth in a row. Andrew Raycroft had 21 saves.
