SHANGHAI, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Roger Federer Thursday ousted Guillermo Coria 6-0, 1-6, 6-2, at the 2005 Tennis Masters at Shanghai.
He joins David Nalbandian in the semi-finals.
Federer is the top seed in the season-ending round-robin tournament and this year's runner-up at the French Open. Coria was winless in three matches at this year's Masters.
Federer, two-time defending Masters Cup champion, has won his last 13 matches at this tournament, including back-to-back titles in Houston the last two years.
He is 80-3 for the year, has a 34-match overall winning streak, and will finish the year at the top of the rankings for the second year in a row. He is two wins away from matching John McEnroe's Open-era record mark of 82-3 in 1984.
Nalbandian, the eighth-seed, topped Ivan Ljubicic 6-2, 6-2. Ljubicic committed 22 unforced errors.
