PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Chase Utley hit a three-run homer and knocked in five runs Wednesday night as Philadelphia clobbered the New York Mets, 16-6.
David Bell had four hits and two RBI, Kenny Lofton added four hits and drove in a run, Shane Victorino hit a two-run homer, Pat Burrell hit a solo homer, and Jimmy Rollins extended his franchise-record hitting streak to 33 games for the Phillies, who have won five of eight.

They remained 2 1/2 games behind Houston for the National League wild-card lead. Winning pitcher Vicente Padilla improved to 9-12.
Marlon Anderson hit two home runs and David Wright hit a two-run homer for the Mets, who had their five-game winning streak broken. Losing pitcher Steve Trachsel fell to 1-4.
