MLB: Chicago WSox 2, Minnesota 1 (10 inn)

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Joe Crede hit a bases-loaded infield single off the leg of reliever Jesse Crain in the 10th inning Friday as the Chicago White Sox beat Minnesota, 2-1.

Chicago won for the second time in its last eight games and maintained its 4 1/2 game lead on Cleveland in the AL Central.

Jacque Jones homered and had two of Minnesota's six hits, but the Twins lost for the fifth time in their last seven games.

In theh 10th inning, Crain (10-5) allowed singles by Jermaine Dye and A.J. Pierzynski. Juan Uribe reached on a bunt to load the bases before Crede hit a ball off Crain's leg.
