MLB: Arizona 2, Milwaukee 1

PHOENIX, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Alex Cintron's bases-loaded RBI single in the 12th inning gave the Arizona Diamondbacks a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Bank One Ballpark.

Craig Counsell accounted for the Diamondbacks' other run with his ninth homer of the year.

Brandon Medders (2-0) pitched a scoreless top of the 12th to record the victory.

For the Brewers, Carlos Lee finished 2-for-4 and Damian Miller scored the only run.

Milwaukee starter Doug Davis was strong through seven innings of work, allowing only one run on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts.

Arizona left 14 runners on base in the game, while Milwaukee stranded nine.
