COL FB: Notre Dame 17, Michigan 10

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Brady Quinn threw two touchdown passes Saturday to lead the No. 23 Notre Dame to a 17-10 upset victory over the third-ranked Michigan Wolverines.

Quinn completed 19-of-30 passes for 140 yards and Darius Walker ran for 104 yards for the Fighting Irish (2-0), who posted their first victory at Michigan in 12 years.

Charlie Weis became the first Notre Dame coach since Knute Rockne in 1918 to begin his Irish career with back-to-back wins on the road.

Chad Henne was 19-of-44 for 223 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Wolverines (1-1), who had their 16-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents halted.
