MLB: Milwaukee 7, San Francisco 1

MILWAUKEE, July 30 (UPI) -- Geoff Jenkins hit a key three-run double Saturday as Milwaukee beat the San Francisco Giants, 7-1.

Wes Helms added a three-run pinch-hit homer in the eighth inning to help Milwaukee snap a three-game slide. With a double, Brady Clark extended his hitting streak to 10 games for the Brewers.

Winning pitcher Ben Sheets, who went the distance, improved to 7-7. He allowed one run and six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts.

Loser Jason Schmidt fell to 7-6. He gave up four runs and five hits over seven innings with two walks and eight strikeouts.

Omar Vizquel and Ray Durham had two hits each and Michael Tucker drove in the lone run for the Giants, who lost for the second time in five games.
