MLB: Baltimore 6, Houston 1

BALTIMORE, June 14 (UPI) -- Bruce Chen earned his first win since May 18 and Miguel Tejada hit a two-run homer Tuesday night as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Houston Astros 6-1.

Chen (6-4) worked seven shutout innings with just three hits.

Rafael Palmeiro had two RBI for the Orioles. Sammy Sosa and Melvin Mora each added two hits and an RBI.

Andy Pettitte (3-7) took the loss in 7 2/3 innings. He gave up six runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out six.

Adam Everett scored the only run for the Astros.
