MLB: Florida 7, Tampa Bay 6

MIAMI, May 20 (UPI) -- Paul Lo Duca and Mike Lowell had three RBI each Friday night in helping Florida outlast Tampa Bay, 7-6.

Florida built a three-run lead through five innings and held on to make a winner out of Al Leiter (2-4), who gave up four runs in five innings. Todd Jones earned his fourth save even though he allowed a run in the ninth.

Tampa Bay has lost five of six. Hideo Nomo (3-4) allowed seven runs on eight hits in five innings to take the loss.

Lowell had a two-run single in the first for the game's first runs and Lo Duca had a two-run double in the fourth to give Florida a 6-3 advantage.
