Federer sets up showdown with Coria

HAMBURG, Germany, May 12 (UPI) -- Roger Federer and Guillermo Coria, who met in the final of last year's Hamburg Masters, set up a quarterfinal rematch in the event Thursday.

Federer, ranked No. 1 in the world, coasted past Tommy Robredo, 6-2, 6-3. Coria was a 6-4, 6-3 winner over Mario Ancic.

Federer, who has a 38-2 match record and five titles this year, defeated Coria in last year's Hamburg final in what has been their only meeting to date.

Their second confrontation will take place Friday with a berth in the semifinals on the line.

In other action Thursday, Nikolay Davydenko upset Gaston Gaudio, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3; and Juan Ignacio Chela surprised Tim Henman, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
