MEMPHIS, April 8 (UPI) -- A 30-point effort from Mike Miller Friday night helped give Memphis a surprisingly easy 97-81 victory over Miami.
Miller made five three-point shots as the Grizzlies took another step toward the playoffs. They began the night 2 1/2 games in front of Minnesota for the Western Conference's last playoff spot.

Pau Gasol had 17 and Bonzi Wells 15 for Memphis.
Miami continues to play without Shaquille O'Neal, who missed his second straight game with stomach problems.
Dwayne Wade led the Heat with 16 and Damon Jones had 14.
Memphis owned a 25-point lead at the intermission and Miami came no closer than 15 the rest of the way.
