In the evening quarterfinals, New Mexico defeated BYU, 85-71, and Air Force took on San Diego State.

Bogut, suffering from a migraine headache, scored 21 points for the 15th-ranked Utes. They captured the league's regular season title with a 13-1 record and improved to 26-4.

Utah led by just a point midway through the second half before going on a 19-4 run.

UNLV got past Wyoming thanks to a career-high, 22-point effort by Ricky Morgan -- all of his scoring coming in the second half.

The Rebels climbed to 16-12.

Wyoming rallied to within a one-point deficit in the final minute and then turned the ball over on the possession that could have given the Cowboys the lead.

New Mexico (24-6), considered a bubble team for the NCAA Tournament, got 23 points from Danny Granger. The Lobos will meet the Air Force-San Diego State winner in the semifinals.
