NFL: Houston 31, Tennessee 21

HOUSTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- David Carr rallied Houston with two touchdown passes in the third quarter Sunday as the Texans defeated Tennessee, 31-21.

Carr was 21 of 30 for 201 yards and threw only two incompletions in the second half. Houston trailed by 18 points in the second period, but came back to halt a three-game losing streak.

Domanick Davis clinched the victory with a 41-yard touchdown run with 1:34 remaining. He totaled 129 yards in helping the Texans down the Titans for the second time this season.

Tennessee quarterback Steve McNair lost two fumbles and was intercepted once -- all in the second half. He threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns.

Houston improved to 5-6 while Tennessee fell to 4-7.

Carr drove Houston 71 yards early in the third period and hit Billy Miller with a 14-yard scoring pass. After one of McNair's turnovers, Houston went 27 yards in four plays with Carr hitting Andrew Johnson from 11 yards out to put the Texans in front.

Tennessee did not score in the second half.
